Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My jeep is in 'retard' mode as the car alarm doesn't shut off when trying to turn it on.
No horn, just flashing of high beam lights and usual parking lights.  I understanding
grounding is a temporary fix from the passenger side door to the relay box beneath the
glove box.  How do I ground a wire on passenger side door to disarm alarm for 1995
jeep grand cherokee laredo?
PS: I don't have a key to the passenger side door as it was changed and person didn't
bother to recode the cyclinder lock.

Thanks

you don't have the remote, and you unlock the car with the drivers door and the alarm goes off, try to unlock the liftgate, that should disable the alarm, you can't disable the the alarm, if you can't turn off the alarm from drivers door you need to replace the drivers door switch, also try the passenger door switch'

Thanks. Yes, I've tried the above steps (driver side, tail gate) and the alarm shuts off (flashing beams). But when trying to turn on again the same thing happens. I don't have a passenger door key to disarm the security alarm but understand that is the only way to do it or maybe grounding the wire from passenger door..? Thanks again.
