My 2003 Ford Explorer won't start , I try to crank it and I hear a click under the hood.

Well a few days ago it was cranking a little rough and as of last night it
will not crank up and all you can hear is a single click when you go to
crank it and it is coming from underneath the hood

Sounds like your battery may be dead (or too low to crank the truck).

If the battery is not dead. Try giving the starter a couple of taps with a wrench or something not hard enough to dent it. Starter could be stuck. I agree with Michael, battery may not have enough of a charge.
