Headlights stay on until I pull fuses

Asked by go4mitcheli Apr 16, 2013 at 10:15 AM about the Ford Expedition

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was told by the Ford garage to replace the headlight switch, I did with no results. I was then told to change the multi function switch(turn signal) and still no change in status.

What year is the Expedition? Have to look for a schematic to see how it's supposed to work.

I did find a pair of diagrams. The headlight and multi function switches both send inputs to a smart junction box (SJB). The SJB controls the relays that send power to the headlights. --- http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/s420/2011-02- 19_230653_07_expedition_headlamp_wiring_diagram.jpg --- http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/s420/2011-02- 19_230721_07_expedition_headlamp_wiring_diagram2.jpg

The SJB may also be called a lighting control module.
