Dreaded 52 code

I took the3.0 from a 92 2x4 toyota4runner, installed it in a90 toyota4 runner 4x4, no knock sensor plug on the engine or wiring harness on 92, plug on wiring harness for 90, it shot a52 code, refuses to idle rt, computer wont delete code!! Have grounded plug, NODDA! Have put wire & sensor on plug,Nodda!!

Was the replacement engine running when it was removed from the other vehicle?
