are there any foor drains in the passenger front floor? also there is a separation where the winshield wiper cowl adheres to the windshield. i think that is where my leak is. what can i use to stick it watertight to the winshield? mabye it leaks because my windshield was replaced? 2002 vw cabrio
If you live in the salt belt, usually the black metal trim along the bottom of the windshield will begin to corrode from the backside and cause leaks. Also the rubber base of your radio antenna will crack due to constant sun exposure and let water in also. At least on the earlier models......if leaking from the windshield trim, the only fix is to tear it apart, remove windshield (if needed) sandblast the rust, repair holes, and replace with new trim.
