Asked by Apr 30, 2011 at 06:55 PM about the Kia Optima

Question type: Car Customization

can you shut off the passenger air bag?  Please tell us how.

No, on newer model vehicles the air bag system uses an occupant classification system to determine if there is a passenger in the passenger seat and will make logic decisions about air bag activation based on that information. Why would you want to disable the passenger air bag?
