Is there anything to do after replacing fuel tank and pump besides adding fuel?

After replacing tank and fuel pump car not starting.

Turn the key a few times to prime the fuel lines. Did you replace the fuel filter too?

No,I have not,am going to do next.car will run if I pour some gas in carb.
