Dear Melf-- The towing capacity on both the 2WD and 4WD is a huge 10,000 pounds. You can haul an awful lot with that. Good luck from Bovan.

Whoa, that's way off! Try 6500 pounds max for a 2x4 1500, the 4x4 is 6000 pounds.

For a '94? 6,500 is the max... don't know what they guy was on...

I think people get the GCWR, truck and trailer combined, confused with towing capacity. Or; GCW gross combination weight vs GTW gross tow weight.

This helps me also guys. Thanks I have a 1995 1500 4x4 and was wondering about long towing a 4000lb trailer.

That should be no trouble at all, just remember to check your tranny fluid!
