2006 Fiesta stereo upgrade

Asked by mwandtke27 Jul 21, 2011 at 11:04 AM about the 2006 Ford Fiesta

Question type: Car Customization

My fiance and I have recently bought a 2006 Fiesta. Problem is we have no Aux input. Is it possible to have the stereo upgraded to one from a newer model Fiesta OR is it just as simple to have car audio experts add the Aux input in?

It would cost too much to put a factory stereo in. I replaced a CD player in my 93 Ford Ranger with a tape deck because it had an aux in. But, you can have an audio guy drill a hole in your dash and put one there for a lot less money than an upgraded stereo from the factory.

Cheers for that info. You wouldn't know where abouts in Adelaide I could get it done at a reasonable price would you? Or if anyone else reading this may know, please pass on any info you have :)

try your local indepent raido dealer, they can fix you right up.

If you already have the aux button on the factory headunit u probably have the aux input cable connected to the headunit, just hidden behind the dash somewhere. Its just a case of finding it and making it useable. The best way of doing this is puling the headunit out and following the aux cable. If its not already connected ford sell the cable for about £20, plug it in feed it round to the glove box for a place to hide the connector. takes about 10 mins max.
