what do the letters T21 and D80 mean on the firewall?

Asked by Feb 29, 2008 at 02:42 PM about the 1969 Pontiac GTO

Question type: General

I have a 69 Judge being restored, it has these "codes" wriiten by hand on the firewall. I am told that is put there during production so the assemblers know what options go on the car. Is that true and if so what options are these?

Have GM Historical Services send you a copy of the build sheet, etc. for your vehicle. Well worth the $50 or so for all the information you will get from them.

D80 is the rear defrost I think

yes its looks like a chalk mark right? that was done at the factory for ID purposes.

hey littlehorn you have a web site for this gm historic service? i cant seem to find it.
