where can I report a car dealer who uses this site to set up people?
Where can I report a car dealer who had a car for sale and I contacted them through
CarGurus, bought the car by phone, then as I was leaving for the 2 hour drive to pick it
up, they drove it out in front of the dealership, and sold it from under me?
If you paid for the car get your money back and don't go near the place in the future.
Thanks Bob -- I just want everyone to know which car dealer it was so that everyone else is informed about their shoddy business practices. That's all ...
If you contacted the through the carguru site, you will receive a questinare on how you were treated by the dealer, but the best way to do this is google talk, write your oppion on them there, when some one googles them,it will show up and they wiil see it,or if you need more info on how to,s,,,click the help button at bottom of this page.
Thank you T_S_T -- I didn't get a questionaire from anyone, I would love to have someone on this site ask me about the dealer, but I will certainly go to google talk. Thank you.
Google reviews is the best to leave an accurate review since most people use google to research dealers.
You are correct Michael, ment to say google reviews dont no where i got talk from.
It takes about 2 weeks and you'll get an email from cargurus asking for your review of the dealer. For future reference, when buying long distance, hire a professional inspection company. I've done it twice. Then make the agreement to buy the vehicle and put down a deposit on the vehicle. Send a bank draft via overnight mail. This way there's a paper trail if they try anything funny. In some states verbal agreements are legal and binding. They're usually hard to prove but long distance phone records can help. At least you can prove that you called the dealer and spoke with someone there. HTH. -Jim
Thanks so very much guys -- I was able to post a review on Cars.com, and dealerreviews.com. Now I'm headed over to dealercarsearch.com/google-reviews-for-car-dealers. I did email cargurus to let them know that I hadn't received their questionaire yet. Thank you all bunches!
You're welcome. Glad to help. Thank you for the best answer click. -Jim
