my saturn will not start.why will it not start

it will turn over, but acts like it is not getting gas

Sometimes if you take a hammer and smack on the gas tank while someone is starting it at the same time it will start but let's you know that it is the fuel pump. Thats if your lucky enough

I have put to cord pack a ingertion switch pack and it try to start but it don't and I don't no what to do
