I was wondering if porsche ever optioned out a non turbo wide body to
customers in 1976 through porsche exclusive if the customer wanted one.

Yes, in 76 there was a Carrera 3.0 with wide body and optional whaletail, sold in ROW markets except USA. Some may have been imported on the grey market though. The Carrera 3.0 was fitted with a non-turbo version of the 930 motor, the CIS injected 930/02.
