Ran out of gas and now it only clicks won’t start how do I fix M

My buddy ran my car out of gas and then put gas in
and it won’t start it just makes a click sound and
then nothing

A motor will still crank even if it's out of gas. Your problem is starter related. Make sure your battery is fully charged, or jump start the car. Check all battery connections. Check starter relay.
