Hard to say without knowing all the options, condition, etc. Use that website I linked to get a number. As always have the truck inspected by your mechanic to make sure everything is ready to go. Always good piece of mind before buying a used car.

CarMax has 2 2006 Chevy Avalanche trucks (linked below). One is an LS w/124k miles and the other is an LT w/125k miles. The LS is 4x2 and the LT is a 4x4, priced at ~$17k. The 4x2 LS is priced at $15.6k. CarMax link: http://preview.tinyurl.com/kjsammh For a 2006 Z71 Avalanche, KBB for my area (DC Metro / Northern VA) has it listed from $11.5k - $13.5k from an individual buyer (not dealership). From a dealership, KBB had the price from $13.4k - $16.7k. So, $15k looks to be in the ballpark with some wiggle-room, depending on condition: Fair to Excellent.
