Can I flat tow (4 wheels down) a 1989 Dodge Dakota?
I want to tow my 1989 Dakota convertible (with an automatic transmission) behind an RV. Can I flat tow it or do I need to use a dolly? I want to use it for errands, sightseeing, etc. so disconnecting the driveshaft would not be convenient.
You can tow it like that! If it is 4x4 then would it be different but a regular dakota no problem! Good luck!!
it has an automatic transmission, you cant tow it flat without removing the driveshaft.
Its only 4 10mm bolts...
you will need to remove the front and rear drive shafts to keep from damageing the trany.
low speed and under 50km shouldint have to remove the drive shaft longer tow than that remove then shaft
