06 Titan won't start

Asked by Guru9ZD6GC Jul 29, 2023 at 11:53 PM about the 2006 Nissan Titan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

06 Titan, both terminals were bad, post loose on the battery itself, so new
battery, fusible links seem ok.  Hooked back up to the battery, now parking
lights stay on, brake fluid pump runs constantly, and no power inside the
truck and won't start.  Started before replacing the battery and terminals.
Had to cut off the pos terminal because of corrosion, took all wires off to
clean, it was bad, really bad, new terminal, both wires back on. Weird that
the parking lights stay on, never seen that before.
Thanks,
Rick

You forgot the memory saver tool. It hooks up to the OBD 2 port and keeps the computers alive during a power down. So now the dealer will need to do a re-flash to get programming back.

crazy isn't it? It can take days sometimes for my answer to post. Others get it right away.

Repost from earlier, site is having problems. You forgot the memory saver tool. It hooks up to the OBD 2 port and keeps the computers alive during a power down. So now the dealer will need to do a re-flash to get programming back.
