I have a 1992 Ford E150 conversion van that just stopped running and white smoke puffed out of the dashboard passenger side, in which I found a module that was for ABS system. Anyone know what this is

You may have some aftermarket components installed there. There is an RABS Module (Anti-lock brakes), Wiper Module and Inertia switch there. Also located in this area is the Heater Case. You're going to have to look around in that area.
