hello, zac here. my parents have a 1998 ford windstar and im wondering what some problems with it could be. i was told they were driving down the road yesterday and something happen idk what but something happen and then theres oil squirting in the back of the engine and white smoke coming from the engine. i went to take a look at it yesterday and the whole back side of the engine wall is covered in oil and on the valve cover gasket was a hole and that was the first place i saw smoke, found the plug and plugged it in, problem one solved. but then started driving it for 20 minutes after letting it warm up, it was smoking heavy from the tail pipe loss power then popped the hood and now the white smoke if coming from the left side by the alternator, in this location but underneath by the belts and what not. im going to look at it today to see if i can jack it up and look underneath to see what going on. any ideas,

Sounds like they have a blown head. Not something you will be able to fix. Will have to take it to the shop. To fix the head, you basically have to tear the top part of the engine off. Tons of work.
