Will a 6.7 turbo diesel engine fit in my 5.7 2003 Dodge Ram 2500
The website with the Engine says its
for a 2500 Ram.. But will it fit.. It
doesn't specify year that it fits.. I
don't know much of anything about
mechanics so simple terms please..
And if it will fit can I get a average
price to install. The Engine comes
with all accessories such as
computer, turbo, injectors, pump
diesel, starter etc.
Doing an engine swap on a car is difficult if you are not replacing original equipment- switching a gas engine to a diesel engine is doubly difficult- this vehicle would not be worth the money you would have to put into it- why not just buy a diesel ram?
Anything will fit in anything. All you need really is time and money and some experience if you want to do it yourself. Your best bet for a diesel would be an old 5.9 cummins from a first gen ram or an early 2nd gen ram. The older ones are mechanical engines and have very little electrical components. That and they're built very well
