About the check gage alarm on my Dodge ram 3500, it was a litre low on oil, I topped it up & disconnected the battery for 10 minutes to reset the computer & still have the gage problem
Could be the oil pressure gauge sending unit is bad or disconnected. Giving you a false reading. I'd try replacing that and inspecting the wiring going to it first. If that doesn't work temporarily install a mechanical oil pressure gauge. If the oil pressure reads good, at this point, on the mechanical gauge then I'd say your instrument cluster is bad. HTH. -Jim
