Hazard lights come on without prompting them

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday my hazard/turn signal/roof/dash lights
decided to start blinking without anyone being near
or inside the truck. I disconnected the battery and
reconnected it and they stopped and everything
seemed fine until this morning when the same issue
happened. So I disconnected the battery so it
wouldn’t die.

The truck sat in my driveway for over a year with
water from rain leaking through the windshield seal.
Took care of that issue but I think the remaining
moisture that was left in the carpet caused
condensation on the windshield from the inside and
the build up ran down to the electrical in the dash. I
don’t know. I’m just guessing.

What would be the best solution to fixing this
problem with the lights flashing?

Replace the Airbag Clockspring in the steering wheel... Did on my 1993 Town and Country and again today in my 2003 Dodge Dakota... $160 including labor...
