2004 Buick Park Avenue won't start

Asked by heatherdonavan May 06, 2024 at 04:17 PM about the 2004 Buick Park Avenue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've replaced the alternator, starter motor, and battery on my 2004 Buick Park
Avenue and it still won't start.  Lights and sounds come on but nothing happens
when I turn the key.   Before I replace the ignition switch, I wanted to ask if it
might be something else.

It could be the neutral safety switch. Move the shifter through all the positions a few times quickly and see if it'll start then. Also, try starting it in neutral. Jim

Things should be tested before you spend money on parts you don't need . You should have came here first we could have walked you through it

Have your vehicle scanned for a P1631 DTC. That is a theft detected code. You may have a problem with your antitheft system.
