it could be a 351, 360,390 or a 6 cylinder thats what i think
if its a camper special its most likely a 460 in it

I have 1 '76 F-250, Camper Special in Bahama Blue with Wimbledon White(over the Cab). It's a Factory 390ci. 4-Bbl Holley Carb with C6 Tranny. Rated 2,495 Lbs. Axle Load. The poor-thing only get's 9-MPG with so much Smog-Pumping, Vacuuming and Quiet-Exhaust. Yet, it's designed to hold a 500KG Domacile and 5 Adults Sleeping Comfortable with all Fishing, Refrigeration, Cooking, Washing/Cleaning and Leveling Hardware... NO SWEAT!
The Tanks: Over The Axle=17-19USG. The Left-Frame-Rail tank can be up-to 22USG= 39-42 Gallons overall. Downhill= 420 miles max.
The forward Fill-Pipe is the Frame-Rail Tank (usually 22gal. though 24 gallon is rare). The rearward Fuel-Cap located nearest the rear wheel(driver-side) is usually a conventional 17gal. or Commercial 19gal. "Over The Axle" flat-mounted gas-tank that serves as the "Primary" PRI. The Frame-Rail tank is very rectangular and sits longwise between the Primary and the rear of Cabin, more visable from underneath than the primary; it's often labeled as the ALT... or Alternate Tank.
