Possibly fouled out some plugs. Have you added more good gas in it?

Yes we have put more gas a couple of times about $10 at a time... it has been running ok, kind of bogged down some, but today we tried to pull the trailer that we always pull without issue and it wouldn't go much more than 50 mph

Bad gas will cause that. Filling tank up should delute it enough so that it will run better.

Fill it up with premium and a can of gas treatment like Techron.

I would change the spark plugs and add some Techron to the tank. A little 2 cycle gas won't hurt anything.
