Question type: Car Customization

I have a 88 s10 4.3 engine it runs good and i also have a 93
s10 4x4 without engine can i put the 88 4.3 engine in the
93??

1 Answer

The engine will bolt right in, it's the same block. I'm pretty sure the fuel injection systems are the same from 88 to 93 but make sure to check that before you decide to proceed. There also might be some differences in the emission systems and computer programming from the 88 to the 93 which may cause some incompatibility issues. Ideally you would want to swap out the 93 computer with one from an 88 but you may run into differences in the wiring in the 93 chassis.
