why wont my car start just replaced aternator and battery?

I just replaced the alternator and battery and my 2006 accord still wont start. It lights up but makes a ticking sound and doesn't want to start .  HELP

You have weak battery,or bad connection/wiring to battery,or your stater is bad.

battery is brand new and so is alternator ?
