1982 2.5 Liter Camaro Starts then dies after 1-2 seconds.

Asked by Vlad Jun 09, 2010 at 08:34 PM about the 1982 Chevrolet Camaro

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine started to stop and go after taking a turn with low fuel and died shortly thereafter.

Now when I attempt to start. It cranks, fires up, then dies as the throttle body is spraying fuel.

Fuel Pump is good.
Battery is brand new.
All wired connections are solid.
Distributor fires.

Only thing I can come up with is that either the coil went bad or there is something telling the computer to stop igniting.

Any help would be appreciated.

Checked for trouble codes. Only code I got was for the MAP sensor. That alone should not keep the car from running.
