1970 camaro seatbelt question

I have a 1970 camaro and when I bought the car
from the last owner it did not have any seatbelts in
it even though these cars came with seatbelts can
anybody tell me if a lap belt would work for that car
without a shoulder strap? Or if anybody could give
me the number of a archive center or a place that
could answer my question.

Yes, shoulder straps didn't come out on those cars till like 1974

I found 2 shoulder straps in the trunk and found where they bolt too but they are torn up. Would it be possible to replace with lap belts?
