Question type: Maintenance & Repair

front end crunched up in..doesn't look to me to be much but body damage
but i don't know..i need to know if its worth trying to fix, but it isn't
drivable..what sort of damage (mechanically) could be wrong with it?
estimate..the front passanger side hit another car and is pretty crunched
up..tire looks great..radiator looks well...the steel bumper is twisted
downward..i am just looking for suggestions now...is it worth looking into
fixing and what sort of shop would be best to bring it too..

Let an auto body place with a frame straightener look at it, they can tell you if unit body is straight or not. If not they can quote you a price to pull it back into shape but might be expensive. I wouldn't waste time getting quotes for rest of repairs until then. From what we can see in pics, you'll need a hood, fender, inner fender, grille, bumper cover, headlight assembly, probably an SRS module or reset, airbags (if deployed) and whatever mechanicals need repairs/replaced. The body panels, if bought used, will run you close to 1K-1.5K, but being an Audi, maybe more. Double that if having installed, then have to repaint car, another 3-4K if done by others. If this were a Chevy or Ford, it could be done cheap enough by a DIYer, but being an Audi, it's going to be expensive. Only you can decide if it's worth it to you or not.

thank you so much...i was going to throw the money in fix it, but with the amounts you gave me, it's not worth it, paid $5000 to start with...so my next question would be, knowing what you stated above, do you think it is possible to maybe give me some sort of price I should ask for to sell it for parts? i would rather not go to a salvage yard because they will want to give me $250 or some obscene amount..if you have any suggestions that would be great...before the accident, everything works perfect, we replaced some parts and fixed some of the little things like the door locks, some paint touch ups, etc..but it ran wonderful..i appreciate anything you can offer me as far as suggestions go...thank you
