abs warning light and 4 wheel to only two {the front now only}

whats wrong if while driving my abs light comes on and instead of 4 wheel drive
i only  have the front wheel drive?

If the ABS light is on you will not be able to stop the car in a emergency, It other words your car brakes may lock up and you can loose control of the car. it should be repaired as soon as possible...

Just need to get the ABS code (s) read to know what the problem is. If the car is stopping no problem, then you'll be fine until it gets fixed. Its just that the ABS will not work and like COMETGUY61 says, when pressing hard on the brakes they would lock up.
