04 Grand Prix No heat

I just recently bought a 04 Grand Prix the heat does
not get hot just like Luke warm (sometimes) the
blower works fine & we changed the thermostat
today so it isn’t that the hoses are hot it is NOT
overheating tho what could this be? Water pump?
Heater core? Please help

I'm presuming you made sure the cooling system if completely full. I don't think you'd have hot heater hoses if it wasn't but a low cooling system will loose heat to the heater core. I think the car would be overheating if it were the water pump. Heater core is a possibility although they rarely plug up on modern cars. There is an actuator in the duct work that opens and closes doors that direct heated or cooled air into the ventilation system depending on the heater control settings. I would check that out to see if it has failed and is only allowing a little bit of hot air into the system. I'm not sure if that would show up on a scan but it might.

Yes everything is completely full, that’s what I was thinking if it were the water pump it would over heat but it isn’t. The person who changed my thermostat said it could still be the water pump if it’s not completely out yet so I was Confused because my car doesn’t overheat but we’re gonna check the heater core n all that soon my AC works great it’s just the heat not getting hot.
