This make and model has a build engineering issues that cause the intake & head gaskets to fail. Use Grade N or Grade 40 sodium silicate. Read all and over as many times as needed to understand what to do below URL copy & paste.

Make sure your fans work, and check thermostat. Can do a compression test on all cylinders to see if head gaskets are leaking and can do a block test to see if you have exhaust in coolant test. Check to see if you have steam coming out tail pipe, and check for coolant in oil. The more its ran hot (only takes one time) the more chances are if not already the head gasket will blow which also means warped heads.

I sold my Pontiac, thank you guys for all your help. Now I need help on Toyota carolla 1994. Gas smell when turn engine off. Smells stays.

Could be leaky Evap purge valve or cannister (may need replaced or filter changed out in it if able to open it) or vacuum leak to EVAP's lines/system.
