I have a 2005 pontiac grand prix an my speedometor says 100 on the interstate? It just started reading 3times as fast as I am going..how to fix this? An what could be causing it?

It is possible you have your speedometer set to kph instead of mph. You can reset this using the screen in the center console that displays the date with the buttons below it.
