My security light was on a few days ago.the car was running fine then all of sudden it wouldn't start

It's your security system. It's tripping. With the key OUT OF THE IGNITION disconnect the battery for about a half hour. That MAY reset it.

If you have the second key try that first. The chip in the key you are using may have died.

Oh ok. Then try my ChickenSoup approach. It couldn't hurt. But if that doesn't work contact the local G.M. dealer. I'm almost sure its the chip in the key.
