Question type: Maintenance & Repair

ok i took a look at the exhaust and i noticed that thier is 2 cadilac converters and two mufflers, do i really need two mufflers, im pretty sure its robbing horsepower and fuel economy, the one muffler has a hole in it so i was thinknig of just taking out it completely and just have one muffler and extend and weld a new pipe to the rear of the vehical. THE question is do i really need two mufflers ??

If it were me, I wouldn't have ANY mufflers. But that's me. You probably actually have one muffler and one resonator. If the hole is in your resonator, you'd probably be fine without it.
