wire broken at the connec tor to the brake light switch on 2000 sable

can anyone tell me how the get the pin out of the connector that goes to the brake light switch?  The wire going to the connector broke at the pin connection....

You need to unplug the connector first. Then look into the end of the connector that mates with the switch (not the side that the wiring enters from.) Using a jeweler's screwdriver, or other VERY THIN flat tool, locate the tab that locks the pin into the plastic connector. Slide the tool between the pin and the connector housing. This will release the pin. Then push or pull the pin out of the connector. Re-attach it to the wire to the pin and re-insert the pin into the connector.
