I want to change atf , the manual says i should use
mercon atf and specificaly not mercon v , however i
cannot find mercon so am looking for any
alternative atf i can use instead
Mercon V is backward compatible, so you can use it. But if you want to use the original fill like I do, the trans fluid you want is sold as "DEX/MERC"
Tom is correct, Mercon V is compatible. I personally would use it as there have been improvements to the fluid.
