I have a 1971 c10 and the cab is rusted perty bad,I know a guy with a 1971 cab for sale and is already stripped, however he can't tell me if it is a a/c cab or not. How can I tell?

You'll need to check the trim tag. This is a black metal plate rivited to (usually) the firewall on GMs. There will be a spot at the bottom of the tag stamped "ACC". This stands for accessories. Next to the ACC will be letter(s) and/or number(s). This will tell you. Compare it to your trim tag. HTH. -Jim

The quickest way to tell if it is an A/C cab is to look right above the radio hole in the dash. If there is a square hole cut out, then its an a/c cab.
