Put new breaks on but break light still on

Sounds like you have air in the system, did you bleed the system?

are you talking about the physical lights on the car or the break light on the dash

Yes I am..The red break light on dash

Does the parking brake pedal return completely? Low fluid and a parking brake applied are the only things that can turn on the red brake light.

Yes on all accounts..fluid is fine..someone suggested taking battery cables off and letting system reset...going to try that today.

Make sure the RABS valve is also free of air, there should be a bleeder on the side of it.

Unplug the fluid level sensor on the master cylinder, if the light goes out then you have a failed sensor.
