1996 ford ranger 6cly, losing antifreeze, won't warm up, 1 or 2 thermostats? MikeR
V-6 is easy to install .. on front of motor. I had one that the Heater core got clog.. Take the hoses off fro the firewall and take garden hose.flush well. Water should flow easy....hope this helps..
Only one thermostat. If you are losing antifreeze, there's a leak - the stuff doesn't evaporate. Pressure test your cooling system and fix it soon. If there's no coolant getting to the heater core to warm you, it's likely that there is very little (if any) coolant getting to the cylinder heads! I've had the heater core plug up too - more than once! But there wasn't a coolant leak to go with it.
