2016 suburban shut off without warning

Same issue has happened several times. Just driving down the road and it dies. Driving on freeway and come to a stop and it dies. GM has replaced in-tank fuel pump 2x. 1x time it was replaced worked fine for about 1,000 miles and started stalling again. The Tech says the fuel pump was damaged like cracks all over it. How in the world. There is some underlying issue with the vehicle not just the fuel pump.

My 2015 has just started doing this! Scared me to death! No warning other than computer screen flashing and then dies! I’m taking mine in on Monday for the dealership to look at.

had same thing happen yesterday, driving 40 mph down the road and POOF it died! tried to restart 4 or 5 times for the next 5 minutes, finally started.....seems fine now....BUT it has been "dead" 3 or 4 times over the past year or so....dealer had no explanation! battery and alternator test fine they say.....best answer they gave so far is blaming it on the rear view camera!

Cheap electronics in the GM vehicles. I have a 2016 suburban with radio issues and 2nd and 3rd row TVs have been replaced because of internal wires breaking. We brought in video proof of what was going on but dealer won’t do anything to replace the radio because it worked at the time that it was at dealer. Now that my warranty is run out I am sure they have a fix solution, replace the whole radio. Problem is this won’t fix the real issue, the replacement is the same cheap crap as what they used on the original unit.

The problem is high resistance from the short Positive cable that travels over the top of your battery. That cable is highly susceptible to corrosion inside the cable. Refer to GM Service Bulletin #18-NA-161. You will find this is the first solution listed on the most up to date GM Bulletin. Your tech will need to test the voltage drop along that cable. Replacing this cable fixed my 2015 Suburban with similar issues.

Someone have the same problem with me? My 2013 Suburban turn off and turn on again several times when I’m driving when I accelerated over 1500 RPM and sometimes I can’t turn on I tried many times and nothing, I waited for 5 or 10 min sites and tried again and I gotta.

I have an 01 and it dies with no warning!! Wait 10mins, restarts, 5-10miles down road it dies again, over and over...no codes...just shuts down then battery light turns on, since key still in on position... new battery, good alternator, just replaced fuel pump and pressure sensor... only put 2 gallons of gas in, drive up and down my street, low fuel on... in driveway... turned on ac to watch guages, all good no jumping.. reveled it up a little seemed ok then rpms dropped to 500, still running... then bam it died again... tired of throwing money at it... replaced camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor... tune up,with coil packs... someone mentioned security, it blinks normal put key in turns off, doesn’t stay on or flash or anything, someone else says computer... running low on funds... any other ideas?!

My 2015 cost me $500 to fix and 2 months later it’s doing it again. It scares me because I have my family with me and it does it. GM won’t do anything. This is horrible I almost crashed a few times.

I have a 2015 that just shuts off. When you push the start button nothing happens. You have to put the remote in the slot in the console to restart it. Both remotes have new batteries.

Try looking at the negative battery cable. I have a 2014 suburban. The radio & dash lights go on and off intermittently. Taken to shop to be checked out, they can't find anything because it won't do it for them. Did a search, lots of people are saying, they replaced the negative battery cable and fixed the problem.

Check the ground down on the frame, small wire running from negative battery terminal to the frame. Remove it, clean it and reattach.
