I’ve been having some issues with my
Subaru Forester in regards to the brake
- The brake lights turn on in the middle of the
night and stay on for no apparent reason
while the car is parked and off... this has
drained my battery more than once.
If I tap the break it turns the lights off.
- While attempting to cruise, the breaks get
triggered and shut off my cruise control
- “hill assist needs to be checked” message
My breaks are working fine otherwise, but it
seems like they keep triggering on their own.
Anyone know what’s going on and how I can
fix it? Should I shut the hill assist off or
something like that?
replace the brake light actuator mounted above the brake peddle
