Can not find the transmission stick to add fluid!

A LOT OF CARS AND TRUCKS TODAY. DO NOT HAVE TRANSMISSION DIP STICKS. YOU WOULD HAVE REMOVE THE PAN. INSTALL A NEW FILTER AND PAN GASKET. THEN INSTALL THE CORRECT TRANS FLUID.

The CVT requires filling from underneath the car. Look for Youtube videos.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CVT TRANSMISSION. THE FLUID SHOULD BE CHANGED EVERY 15,000 MILES.

Alfred's completely wrong here, as the CVT is designed to NOT need fluid swaps. HOWEVER, a significantly high percentage of first gen 2010-2014 CVTs are failing, and not being rebuildable, are causing a price hike in the salvage markets. Sigh.... I've asked a few service managers if they think swapping the CVT-F is recommended on the 1st gen CVT, but the majority claim it doesn't matter. I was draining and refilling my clients' 2013-2014 (I skipped 2010-2012 MYs) for awhile, but have since stopped, as the fluid drained wasn't appreciably dirty...VERY unlike the old 4EAT trans used in 2000- 2009. You CAN drain and refill the CVT easily if you have a simple pump to refill the system. It's a bit of a messy job as you're pumping UP into a top filler/level hole, with fresh fluid dripping down your arm. So no there's no external level stick or indicator. If you have accidentally drained the CVT, thinking it was the motor, do NOT drive it at all, as you'll overheat it and ruin it within a minute! Seen this lately....Best, Ern TSG/B
