Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 2013 Kia Optima.  Last night while driving the car shut off without any warning.  Now it will not start.

There is not much to go on here, I would have it towed to your nearest garage to find out why. It could be many things. Can you give us more details?

I would tend to lean towards checking the battery/alternator first bc if the power fails it will do this. However if the starter is running strong and your alternator is good then I would check the coil pack for spark and make sure it is getting fuel to the engine. If it sputtered roughly when it died I would say likely the file/spark scenario but if it just lost power to the cabin and died then most likely an alternator issue.

There is a recall for engine failure. Just had my engine replaced after it died while driving on the highway. It's in a class action lawsuit. You should have gotten a notice in the mail.
