2012 CR-V display problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am having an issue with my map
display (2012 CR-V). It is glitching
(Freaking out? Not exactly sure of the
word to use - attaching a picture).

This started happening as I was
driving, but now it only happens when I
start up the car. Usually it shows those
black lines, sometimes broken pieces
of the map, sometimes the screen is a
solid dark yellowish green screen.
Sometimes it is a mixture of some or
all of all of them. Putting it into reverse
sometimes changes how it is glitching,
or just turns it black. The only
consistant thing is that it will eventually
turn black (usually, it doesn't take long
for that to happen).

Now, everything else works, even the
touch part of the screen. My son even
figured out where to touch to select his
favorite (saved) radio station. The only
thing that seems to be effected is the
image itself. I don't know, maybe the
mechanism that causes it to be
displayed is faulty? I'm not sure. I only
know enough about these things to be
dangerous.

Anyone have an idea what it is or how
to fix it?

I had a friend help me pull the negative cable on my battery. All that did was lock it (the red security light is flashing, even when I drive), so I can't even listen to the radio now.

Did you find a resolution for this? Mine just started turning black. I can touch the screen and it works but I can't see anything. Not even the back up camera.
