Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My last oil change was Aug 2018.  The dealership didn't put the oil cap on
after my last oil change.  I didn't notice until car started driving rough and
leaking fluids.  Dealership towed my car and told me they would run a
diagnostic test (baroscope), but upon further inquiry they only topped off the
fluids, and cleaned the car.  At this point, I am VERY concerned.  The car
already has 100k miles.  I have driven the car well over 300 miles since that oil
change. ( I'd estimate closer to 800 miles since I've gone out of  town twice.)
Now, they want me to wait to see if "something" happens.  What is the
possible damage done to the car engine?

300 miles without the oil cap on would cause me ZERO concern.
