I have a ford focus and I am starting to have trouble with my dome light. I am driving down the road and the dome light would be going on and off. What is going on here with this light?

I have a ford dome light that goes on and off while i am driving.I am wondering
what is causing this to happen.

dose the button for it fell all messed up and have you changed bulb

all doors are shut tight rear hatch have bad switch ive seen that a couple times

Dome light is going off because of a door ajar signal. Spray down the latches on the doors with WD-40, the switches in the latch can get dirty and give you the condition you are experiencing. Might be one of the doors, or multiple.

Your altenator is on the way out 05 to 07 altanator if placed next to the exhaust manifold they fail every 40 to 70000 miles heatshield dont help have it checked replace it befor it burns out find a friemd who works on em he should be able to replace cheap shops charge 500 to 800 for labor because your have to roll whole engine forward most retarded altanator to replace
