I bought a 2011 chevy traverse one month ago and two weeks after we got it we started hearing a grinding sound i called the dealer and he looked at it said no big deal not the tranny ive had it back there and a shop he sent me to with nothing learnd they keep saying differnt stuff. so i took it to a chevy dealership to find out it was the tranny. its a 2,200 dollar fix. Is there anything we can do to have the dealership we got it from pay for this or are we just screwed?

Those buy here, pay here dealers are the shadiest. If you didn't get anything in writing, you can go back to them, but they are not going to fix it right and continue to give you the run around. That's what they do. Have the chevy dealer or a local trans shop repair and move on. So consider this a learning experience and purchase your used cars from a decent lot by doing research and have the car inspected by your own mechanic before purchase.

Make sure you run the COM numbers through the transportation safety website. NHTSA.gov to make sure there are no recalls. There were atleast 8 on my 09 and you have 10 years from the maufacture date to get them fixed free of charge by a dealer. Tire recalls only 60 days
