Used 2020 Chevrolet Traverse for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 15.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,488 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and powerful performance, and many also like its comfort and handling in challenging weather. That lines up well with its role as a big, family-focused three-row crossover that emphasizes room, everyday usability, and easy living. With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find one that fits your budget.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a spacious interior, smooth ride, and comfortable driving experience, along with confidence in challenging weather. For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction can be encouraging, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition because long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how the vehicle was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Traverse?

At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past repair work. Because some owners mention body damage concerns, focus on cosmetic condition and evidence of proper maintenance before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,488 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,786, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $18,786 sits slightly below last year's $22,194.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Traverse easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current lower entry price means your depreciation risk is already partly reflected in today’s market. Strong condition and a clean history will matter more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,806, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,786 average.
• It adds updated styling and wireless smartphone connectivity.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction. If you can spend more and want the newer model-year updates, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize those refinements over price.
